A very busy day obviously with Boxing Day being a super one in terms of racing action. We've found plenty of value across both meetings with some good fields at both Westport and here at Ashburton.
How to bet into selections:
Look to anchor the All Stars runners in multiples.
Each-way on Reaza Grunter, Bailey's Knight.
Have an open mind to have quinella bets on races we've selected more than one runner in.

#11 Reaza Grunter. I'm a fan of this horse drawing the back row as she's been a little unruly early from off the front line and should get a decent run through from this barrier. Has consistently put runs on the board after mid-race work so would be the strongest runner her on exposed form. B Orange a big plus. Solid each-way bet in this. 2nd $1.70
#5 Chloe. Strong trial form running into this debut. The bloodlines are great and she certainly looks like a progressive maiden. May look to work to the front early and attempt to outstay them here as she's a rolling type of filly. Strong claims and total respect. 4th
#4 Pay Me Interest. The form-line appears a little up and down but with the right run she'll give this a good shake. Most probably best with one run at them and will need to settle handy enough to be able to get over the top of them. The value each-way option with a touch of luck. 1st $8.70 2.20. Quinella $12.80

#11 Boults On Fire. Unlucky during cup week when getting shuffled in the running-line in a race won in good time by Smiley Sophie. While the draw may not be ideal I do believe he has the class to prevail over a middling maiden field in this. Looks a strong winning chance. 3rd $1.20

#4 Baileys Knight. The form behind The Fixer and Vincent makes us sit up and take notice. He's been a far more tractable type the last couple of runs and would have the most speed over a furlong out of this field. A running line sit is desired as he'll be better coming wide on the track late. Manners the key here. Nice each-way option. 1st $19.70 3.70. Quinella $42.10
#8 Hayden's Meddle. He's come back in fine form so far this campaign. Has shown in his last couple of runs that he can work and still fight on well late. Options from the draw and may well look to get handy to the speed at some stage. A slight query over the distance. 2nd $1.80

#4 Christopher Banner. Will be forward for this assignment. Strong last start when being held up and flashing home. Has excellent course and mobile statistics surrounding him. The main threat for us in a even looking field.
