#4 Speedy Command. The bolter early. David Miller looks a sound booking here although it's his first go on the grass. The odds are juicy ($7 a place on opening) The Nelson runs had merit. Dam won on this track. Would need a sound start as this field does have some grass track performers in it. The bolter first up. 1st $19.50 4.50 ($28.00 7.50 Fixed Odds)

#8 Officialdon. Good Rangiora run after getting too far back on debut. Dexter should put the horse into this as he'll suit a rolling tempo over a sit / sprint affair. Looks a leading chance despite the wide draw. 1st $4.70 1.80

#2 Christian Lady. A gutsy type when in a decent mood. Failed to score up at Rangiora. Dexter a vital booking. At her best she'd give a decent sight here although I wouldn't be getting carried away with anything shorter than $5. Each-way claims from on the speed. 4th

#9 We'll Meet Again. A genuine sort and has a real liking for the track here at Banks. Trial, workout and race-day form all solid enough. The driver is the only questionable conditions although we generally have to take that on the chin. Another who should give a decent each-way sight. 2nd $2.10

#9 Trailer Park Girl. I thought the Marlborough runs were both very sound. The grass track form is very good too. The draw is the obvious down-side here so we'll need mid-race luck. Still deserves to go in on top on exposed form. 2nd $1.70
#7 Mad Lu Li. Only caught late by the improved Franco Saxon when last produced here. Never goes a bad one and deserves to take money on her campaign efforts so far. 1st $4.80 1.90. Quinella $7.00
