#4 PULLING THE STRINGS. Nice run fresh up he worked several times in the running and still fought hard. He has some speed early so with this draw he might want to press forward, he will be better for his last attempt; Each Way. 3rd ND

#8 ALLEY WAY. Lovely trotter who has been going super races against smart horses of late, he does have the big handicap but the small field negates that. His class will carry him a long way. 2nd $1.50

#5 HE CAN FLY. Not many six start maidens in the Purdon/Rasmussen barn but this guy is one of them. I do expect him to clear maidens in this race, he hasn't had a workout or trial leading into this but from this stable it doesn't worry me. 1st $1.20 1.10

#3 NEK TIME. This horse has just gone to another level of late she is racing super and with the drawn and Dexter on she will get her chance, main rivals all second line giving her the advantage; Each Way. 1st $2.30 1.20
#8 MACKENZIE. Outstanding last start win, slayed them but it wasn't strong field. Barrier draw is not ideal as she will need to get out. Obvious threat likely favourite. 4th

#2 HEAVEN ROCKS. Inexperienced horse against some very handy types but I have seen this horse and he is a brute and with this draw he should be able to be right there throughout. Interest runner for sure; Each Way. 1st $7.50 1.40. Quinella $3.40. $36.80
#6 CLASSIE BRIGADE. Big run last week they ran a super time and he was beaten by a champion. Wide draw and that last weeks run has me thinking he could be beaten today. 2nd $1.20
#9 SWAMP MAJOR. Will follow through nicely is a good horse sprinted well last week; Include. 3rd $1.60

#8 SOUTHERN PURSUIT. One of my favourite Barron runners coming out of a nice race last outing, he has the wide draw but some scratchings inside help him out. Would love him to roll to the top today and ask the question who has the biggest heart to his rivals. 4th
