A series of small fields makes for some limited selections today at Oamaru.

#7 Ben Hope Rulz. Chased a nice enough type last start from on the speed. The small field bodes well here. Hope looking for his first race day driving win and may well get it with a safe start in this. 1st $1.60 1.10

#11 Miracle Rising. Nice horse returning after a sound first campaign. A couple of decent workouts in only fair times recently. Hits a weak looking affair here. Appears the quality of the field. Strong each-way claims. 1st $4.60 1.70

#7 Run Boy Run. A nice win last time out and comes into a weak field here which he'll once again be hard to beat in. I do prefer him behind the tapes too. Strong winning chance. 1st $2.50 1.30. Quinella $4.80
#2 Vera's Delight. A real threat here from on the speed. The draw is very sound and she'll always finish a race off well from cover. The driver is fails to drive his horses out on most occasions so little faith can be had when it comes to winning claims. A late burst of speed for a minor end of the prize seems a likely scenario. 2nd $1.60 ($2.00 Fixed Place)
