#5 Runaway Three. A horse who simply hasn't had all the luck in his career. He's a much better horse when near the speed in my mind so I expect another front running effort today. He got caught parked on day 1 which didn't help but he fought on alright. A better draw today should see him go very close. 1st $1.90 1.10. Quinella 2.10. Trifecta $13.00
#7 Titanium. A nice maiden who chased home Haydens Meddle hard on Friday. This field is slightly weaker so another strong showing is expected. Looks a half of the quinella. 2nd $1.30
#4 The Golden Cross. No star but may look for the front early and be a chance late. Not a winning proposition on what we've seen so place bets are preferred. 3rd $1.90

#3 Living legend. I continue to believe that this horse is far better suited to leading. That scenario never really eventuated at Nelson but it could happen today from this draw. He galloped on Friday when looking to come into things rounding the final bend. Must stay handy today to be a decent each-way chance. 1st $15.10 3.50

#6 Alta Orlando. Class animal of this field. Generally is sound away from the stands too so he should make short work of the handicap. There's no real out and out leaders in this line-up and the stable-mate could hand up if he finds the front. Strong chance. 2nd $1.30

#4 Franco Tai. Used gate-speed on day 1 to secure a nice trip and was only run down by a smart type after hitting the front early in the run home. Tough enough type who can win with a little bit of luck. 1st $2.90 1.40.
#5 Miss Daisy. Useful horse who is far better suited to running on the speed so I'd be dismissing the first day form and giving her a decent chance from this front line draw. The sound 2nd place over the mile at Ashburton gives you a line for this race. 3rd $3.30
#1 Eh Ef El. Has had little luck in the running in his last couple but lobs the #1 draw today and must be included. Value win chance with luck too. 4th
