I've always known that this horse is prepared well by Fairbairn for this meeting so was a little disappointed that the form wasn't there to select it on Tuesday. It really hit the line well and off the front line seems destined to jump near the speed and be a real factor late here. She'll need mid-race cover but can let down. Each-way claims. 1st $4.60 1.70

An interesting race this with the favourite backing up from Tuesday. I'm not at all sold on this race as a betting proposition. If you wish a gold coin to place on the #4 horse The General may be the way to go but that's not with any real conviction.

#7 Jazzy Star. This horse does have a big motor. The draw is just a touch wide for us to label him an absolute winner but he does deserve total respect. May look to forge forward anyway. Fell in a run here a few weeks back too which isn't ideal but if he's at his best he deserves to be well supported in this. 1st $4.30 1.70

#5 Habibi Inta. Prepared for the big dance here. Master trainer. Is a genuine top three chance but it's hard to see him winning unless the favourites meet trouble. Include in all combination bets.
