It's an interesting night of racing at Addington tonight with a fair amount of this form to go onto the cup carnival shortly. A number of these races (particularly the mares and trotting events tonight) will seal our thoughts for the carnival itself. For that reason we've gone light on selections tonight. Plenty of form to mull over after the racing.

#7 Ultimate Sniper. He appears the strongest chance of the night. Natalie stays with him and he couldn't have been more impressive in winning last time around when 3 wide for some distance and he bolted in against strong opposition. This is a step down in class of field with the main rival being Major Trojan. I'd be inclined to look into anchoring him in the early treble and going very wide in the first two legs and hoping that Bettor Getta Lover doesn't see out the distance in the 1st. That could open up a treble that pays a decent amount. 1st $1.40 1.00

#2 Ruby Rose. A nice filly who never really hit her straps last time in but has come up well by the looks of her recent workout efforts. Deserves major respect from the draw. Will be a close follow into bigger races this time in too. Still rates fresh in here. 1st $3.40 1.30
#3 Nakuru. A tough type who hasn't done a thing wrong so far. A sound workout preparation for this. Expect a little of speed early but if she runs up to her first couple of efforts she'll be thereabouts in a race like this. 3rd $1.40

#7 The Fixer. He's the sleeper in the cup market currently. I see a big performance from him likely today as he'll need to be forward enough if he's going to be a real contender in the big show. Natalie has a big opinion of the horse and he's gone some great times in the past. Will not pull his punches here. Each-way. 1st $2.50 1.40 (3.70 fixed)
