A 10 race card on Thursday afternoon at Oamaru. The Nyhan team tend to have a decent go at this venue so it's no surprise that they seem to have their entire team here.

#10 Sails. Put in a nice Rangiora workout performance a few weeks back before making a meal of things at Rangiora on the slush. Is drawn to get a decent sit on the markers. Each-way claims if she's able to stay near the speed throughout. 3rd $1.90

#4 Lauragrace. This is a nice maiden field and should yield plenty of winners in weeks to come. I've selected her on the race conditions today as I have seen her jump to the lead at workouts when drawing the front line. This being a 2000m stand has got my attention. #3 Conversion. Looked a picture when winning at Addington last start and comes down here to snare a easy win. That will be harder said than done as the #1 will test him. Should be running the quinella but don't take anything too short today. 1st $1.30 1.00
