An interesting day today at Timaru with the ladies series adding interest to the day.

#7 Katchalight. A useful maiden but not able to do a whole lot of work in her chances which is proving the problem. Shuffled out of things at Rangiora in a nice field. May not get to the lead initially here either but a running line sit near the speed should see her being competitive in this field. 1st $4.60 1.80. Quinella $41.60
#10 Beaudiene Overtake. Hard to see him getting into this until too late but a 4 pegs/ markers position throughout the run would mean he'll have plenty to offer late. Not the worst for a place here. 2nd $3.40

#9 Iknow. Did good things when able to set up a slow enough speed form the top last time here. Hay will have it ready to go and Young is a decent driver in this sort of line-up. 1st $3.00 1.50
#2 Flamboyant. I'd really like to tip it on top but the driver hasn't reined a winner home yet and this is a horse you really need to know how to drive. Ideally I'd like to see Stewart move to the parked position and ask this horse to tough things out late. 3rd $2.20
